SWEMPNET
South West Employment Network
The aim of SWEMPNET, a network of providers of mental health employment vocational rehabilitation, is to encourage good practice in promoting the employment of people with mental health needs through the sharing of information.
This aim will be achieved by a network of practitioners which will encourage:
 | Service user involvement in the design, commissioning and provision of services through assurance that member organisations themselves involve service users; |
| Co-operation between statutory, voluntary and independent service provider and employer organisations, ensuring a varied membership; |
| Sharing of information and good practice through publications and meetings; |
| Awareness, understanding of and contribution to national and local policies affecting mental health and employment through discussion, learning and membership of wider networks. |
SWEMPNET believes in keeping service users' needs at the centre of activity and that its members can give a better deal to people with mental ill health through keeping themselves informed and up to date.
