Support to look for work

Workways is here to help with…

  • Finding paid work – helping people currently actively seeking paid employment of any number of hours.

  • Sustaining learning – helping people doing a course who need specialised support to retain their place at college or university or with a training organisation.

  • Working towards work – helping people who have the intention of finding paid work at some point in the future but who need time to explore their options and possibly try voluntary work &/or learning as part of their route to finding paid work.

  • Job retention - If you are employed at the moment, read about the help we can provide for both you and your employer

We are able to provide as much or as little assistance for as long or as short a period of time as you wish. You won’t be compelled to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with and we will help you to make progress. Workways isn’t an employment agency or a job broker, don’t provide learning and work activities itself but we do work closely with organisations who do. We are not a counselling or therapy service. Seeing Workways won’t affect your benefits. Groups provide additional practical help to help people move forward.

The following links will lead to information on a wide variety of vacancies, opportunities and topics connected with learning and work.  We've not visited all of these sites and some may make a charge for services provided.  If any no longer exist, have changed address or if you come across other sites you feel would be helpful to others please contact us.
