Raising awareness

Raising awareness about mental health and supporting people experiencing such conditions is widely recognised as being very important. We offer a range of workshops and courses at Workways all of which can be delivered to employers and other organisations at their own premises and we are also happy to discuss delivering bespoke workshops so do please contact us.

BEING MINDFUL - for managers     15 Oct

BEING MINDFUL provides an introduction to mental health conditions, the impact on the workplace, dealing with distress, supporting presence of staff and managing absence. Being Mindful focuses on practice not policies and is specifically for line managers, Directors, HR, Occupational Health, Union and other staff representatives - especially those with little or no knowledge of mental health issues. This is a half-day workshop.

BEING AWARE - for staff    17 Apr     26 Sept     26 Nov (all AM)

A more in-depth look at common mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety and more severe ones such as psychosis, schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. Suitable for frontline staff and/or anyone with little or no knowledge of mental health conditions. This is a half-day workshop.

KEEPING WELL    17 Apr     26 Sept     26 Nov (all PM)

This session introduces a practical tool, based on the internationally acknowledged Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). Using WRAP benefits staff, Line Managers, Occupational Health Advisors and Human Resources alike.  The session will cover how WRAP can help people maintain their wellbeing, identify if that level of wellbeing drops, what can be done to help, who can be contacted and recording this in a personal workbook. Requires some prior knowledge about mental health conditions. This is a half-day workshop. Reduced price if booked with Being Aware.
